POWER OVER ETHERNET (POE)
Power over Ethernet (PoE) lighting is an evolving technology that could possibly be the lighting industry’s next disruptor. While the term is somewhat unfamiliar to the general public, the concept—and its applications to power computers and VoIP phones—is not new. The known component is Ethernet, and the evolution is in providing electric power and data through this cable. In its simplest terms, PoE brings electric power over the same Ethernet cable that is used to bring data to a device, thus eliminating the need for a separate power feed.
Ideal for many types of buildings, both renovations and new construction, Power over Ethernet simplifies the electrical wiring needed for powering lighting fixtures, while creating a comprehensive network to oversee all lighting controls
Just as LED lighting started as a new and somewhat skeptical technology, we see a bright future ahead for PoE lighting and other PoE-compatible products such as appliances, televisions, motorized shades, and more. In fact, according to a recent study done by Reports and Data, the PoE lighting market is anticipated to reach $1.27 billion by 2026.
HERE ARE SOME OF THE
MANY BENEFITS WITH USING OUR PLATFORM:
- Energy management lighting control (automatic control of lighting for energy management purposes
- Once our digital infrastructure is implemented, you can then deploy additional software applications from our ecosystem of partners that need the physical infrastructure to deliver wayfinding, conference room management, asset tracking, human tracking, classroom attendance tracking, real time space utilization, and other IoT applications.
- Architectural lighting control (automatic control of lighting for creating a specific mood or atmosphere)

- Architectural lighting control (automatic control of lighting for creating a specific mood or atmosphere)
- Safer deployment of lighting through the elimination of 120/277VAC in the lighting system
- Lighting can be easily reconfigured in software or physically relocated without the need for an electrician
- The lighting may automatically change color temperatures from a warmer amber for reading and calming applications to a cooler white light for more vibrant energetic activities. Adjusting the lighting to the task has shown increased performance by individuals and students, faster healing times, and more.
- Code blue visible light beaconing for safety
- RGB indicator lighting with audible beacon for other notifications/alerts
- Truly open system.
